Shamir

The SHAMIR Association is a non-profit organisation which aims to preserve Jewish culture and history, and the remembrance of the Holocaust. Its activities include the creation and maintenance of the Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust Museum, holding exhibitions, publishing books, and organising conferences and seminars.

Projects supported by Uniting History Foundation

Cultural Bridges — a travelling exhibition on the history of Latvian Jews, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Latvia.
Creation of a series of short educational videos dedicated to prominent members of Latvian society who were deported to Siberia.

Projects aimed at the research of the history of Jews in Liepaja in 19th and 20th century and commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust.

Research and publication of materials about Latvians who took part in the rescue of Jews during the Holocaust.
